Devora Mittelmann, MACP, RP (Qualifying)

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

I became a therapist because I’m deeply drawn to the moments in people’s lives when identity feels shaken, stretched, or rewritten. Whether it's through grief, trauma, parenthood, relationships, or major life changes, I’ve always felt called to sit with people in the spaces where life stops making sense—because those are also the spaces where something new begins. My training in counselling psychology and my clinical experience have shaped my desire to help people feel seen, grounded, and capable of moving forward. The most meaningful part of this work for me is witnessing people come back into connection with themselves. I feel honoured to support clients as they move from overwhelm or numbness into clarity, self-compassion, and stability. I work from a lens that blends polyvagal theory, IFS, and DBT-informed skills with a warm, relational approach. I find it especially meaningful to help clients understand their nervous system, honour and listen to their emotional parts, and build the internal safety needed to create lasting change.Clients can expect a calm, grounded, and non-judgmental space where they don’t have to perform or “be okay.” I work gently but collaboratively—helping clients identify what’s happening beneath the surface while also building practical tools for coping, regulating, and navigating relationships or life changes. Sessions often include exploring identity, understanding emotional patterns, developing nervous system awareness, and working through stuck points with curiosity rather than pressure. My approach is steady, thoughtful, and centred on helping you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your next steps.
