Common Questions About Our Mental Health Assessments
What does a mental health assessment involve?
A mental health assessment is a thorough clinical evaluation that includes standardized screening tools, a detailed review of your history, and a bio-psycho-social assessment. The goal is to understand what you're experiencing, arrive at a clear diagnosis, and build a personalized treatment plan. The initial assessment appointment is 60 minutes.
Are you able to prescribe medication if needed?
The Nurse Practitioner is able to prescribe and assist with medication management. A current - or recent - blood pressure and heart rate reading is necessary to access this care. This may be completed in-person at our office, or through your local pharmacy if your appointment is taking place virtually.
Are mental health assessment services covered by OHIP?
Unfortunately, our services are not covered by OHIP but they may be covered by your private health insurance plan.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to access services at Dynamic Health Clinic. We make it easy for you to get the care you need without any extra steps.
What are the costs for a mental health assessment?
A 60 minute appointment for a thorough assessment and diagnosis costs $295. Ongoing follow up and support appointments can range from $95 to $225.
Does your clinic offer financing? 
Yes, we offer financing through Medicard. Ask our support team for more details! We are proud to offer this service in support of making holistic health more approachable and achievable.
